Battlefield V Teases Airborne Multiplayer Game Mode

Battlefield V is promising to be a phenomenal game in terms of measure, freedom of play, and overall look and feel. Though in-depth gameplay has yet to be revealed to know exactly how smoothly the gameplay experience will feel, the teasers shown so far show the mayhem that could ensue throughout combat. There’s no lack of content waiting for Battlefield fans since DICE just revealed a new Airborne combat game mode to arrive alongside the latest entry within the series.

Succinctly named Airborne, it will be one of the game modes available in Battlefield V, allowing players to join the combat against weapons of the sky. Players will begin the match parachuting into the battlefield the team members must work together to defend against or deal with the “threats from above.” Other than that, DICE doesn’t offer anything else in terms of details, but gamers can look forward to more than just PvP modes.

As for the core gameplay itself, Battlefield V offers Squad Play, fortification building during combat, improved soldier movement, and other features that support more strategic approaches on the battlefield and a more immersive experience for the player. As for additions such as a Premium Pass – there will be none. Thankfully, DICE has decided to do away with that and allow the game to be open and available to all. The studio explained exactly how they intend to do that:

Tides of War is DICE’s new approach to live services, where players will set out on an epic journey with their Company in unexpected battles throughout World War 2. There will be no premium pass, all players will have access to the same maps and modes, keeping the community unified as they progress through Battlefield V.

In Tides of War, their journey through World War 2 will grow through themed experiences that will include events and all-new ways to play like Grand Operations, while also unlocking the latest themed rewards such as weapons and vehicles to further shape their Company.”

Battlefield V will release on October 19th, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. EA Access and Origin subscribers will have the opportunity to play the game a few days early as well.
