RUMOR: Batman Arkham Developer To Announce Superman Game Very Soon

Superman Game Soon

Having definitively put the Batman Arkham games to bed, Rocksteady Studios has left fans wondering what the developer has planned for the future. The most recent project under their belt was last June’s Batman: Arkham VR, leading many to suspect the studio has since started work on a new title. If a recent rumor is to be believed, Rocksteady has indeed begun development, supposedly revealing that the new adventure will be a Superman game.

According to a post on 4Chan, Rocksteady’s unconfirmed Superman game will be very impressive to say the least. The user calls the game’s scale and the ambition “massive,” adding that fans will be “blown away” by what they’ll eventually see. Another post confirms that the offering will take place within the Batman Arkham universe, allowing for potential character and location crossovers.

Superman Game Soon

We might not have to wait very long to see the Superman game for ourselves. The poster also claims that an official reveal is scheduled for next week in the gaming publication Game Informer. Seeing as their new issue is to be unveiled on November 6, it’ll be hard to deny the post’s accuracy if the big blue boy scout is the featured cover star.

While all of this should be taken with a heaping bag of Kryptonite, it’s worth noting that the Arkhamverse has been the subject of many rumors over the years, including a potential role for the Man of Steel. If Superman were to get his own game, a reveal in front of the upcoming Justice League film would be very appropriate, especially since the character digitally removed his mustache just for the occasion. We suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.

What do you think? Is Rocksteady secretly preparing a new Superman game, or are we getting our hopes up for no reason?
