The Avengers Project Enlists Legendary Talent From Naughty Dog, Visceral, And More
Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the incredible Tomb Raider franchise, announced last year that they had a super secret Avengers game in the works. With the help of heavy hitting industry professionals, from companies the likes of Naughty Dog, Visceral, Sledgehammer, Monolith, and more, the company is set to tackle the Marvel Universe with the upcoming The Avengers Project.
Fans of series such as Dead Space, Uncharted, and Shadow of Mordor, among other iconic series, will be pleased to see the influences this incredible list of talent will be bringing to the table. The very unique group of creators promises to bring fans “an incredible, completely original Avengers experience to our gamers.” While not much is known at this time as to what exactly the Avengers project will entail, with this brilliant cast of industry professionals fans are sure to be in good hands.
Crystal Dynamics has let loose a press release, promising to deliver a completely original and fresh Avengers experience. Within the release co- head at Crystal Dynamics Scot Amos explains:
We’re committed to delivering an incredible, completely original Avengers experience to our gamers, and that means we are always looking to add amazing developers to our existing best in class studio talent. As development progresses, our studio continues to grow. The tremendous progress we’ve made on the Avengers project further drives us toward our goal of crafting something all Marvel fans will be proud of, and will play for years to come. We can’t wait to show you what we mean in the future.
As for the incoming talent for the project, co-head Ron Rosenberg added:
We recently hired fifteen world-renowned industry veterans, spanning production leadership, animation, design, art and engineering, who have previously worked on games such as Batman: Arkham Origins, Dead Space, Star Wars: Battlefront and many more. Their AAA experience adds to an already deep roster, making us well-positioned to deliver on the ambitious goals we’ve set for ourselves with TheAvengers project. It’s a stellar addition of many people who fit incredibly well into our wheelhouse of building game experiences we all love.
With such a unique cast of talent coming the upcoming project fan are sure to be in for a treat.
