Avengers 4’s Official Title is a Big Spoiler for Infinity War, According to Marvel Studios President
Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is set to come out late next year as the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe’s events. One aspect about the large-scale film is what that could set up for the next Avengers film scheduled to release the very next year. It would be easy to wonder about, as not so much as a title has been given for the movie as of writing this. According to a recent interview, the public’s cluelessness is intentional, and revealing Avengers 4‘s actual title would actually be a large spoiler if given away too early.
In a chat with CinemaBlend, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige was asked about why the official title for Avengers 4 hasn’t been revealed. The Marvel boss confirmed that it could serve as a potential spoiler for the still unreleased Avengers: Infinity War. When pressed for more information, Feige replied by reiterating the two films’ uniqueness.
“They’re two very different movies. That’s all I’ll say.”
Ever since Marvel Studios’ long-term film slate announcement back in 2014, people have been wondering what the Avengers 4 film could be about, if not the large-scale Infinity War the third film promises. Initially, the fourth installment was touted as “Infinity War: Part 2″, but plans of the two-part movie have been seemingly dropped over time and was officially retitled as its own movie as of late. Since Marvel is notoriously tight-lipped about the details of their movies, the only way anyone could find out any spoilery details would be in the days following their respective release days.
At this juncture speculation is all we have, but a number of potential scenarios could theoretically play out including a surprise character reveal among the third Avengers film’s impending cosmic battle. An unlikely appearance by any Fox-owned Marvel characters could warrant this much secrecy as a cameo by either the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, or the cosmic world-eater Galactus would be hugely unprecedented. When any details come forward, come back to Don’t Feed the Gamers for more information.
