Assassin’s Creed Valhalla had its world premiere this week and revealed the latest mainline game for the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Taking place during the Viking era, players will have two canon choices of playable protagonists – a male and female version of Eivor. Adding to the wealth of information the AC community got on the upcoming game, Ubisoft revealed a line of images and screenshots as well. Check them all out below:

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes place during 9th century England as Eivor leads his clan toward a more prosperous future. With Norway’s resources on the decline, the people have no choice but to travel across the North Sea in search of a better future. Eivor will utilize diplomacy, war tactics, and other means to build a new home.

There will be raids to seize land and resources as well as battles on enemy territory. Eivor and his clan can launch “massive assaults” against the rival Saxons with a new combat system that emphasizes the brutality of combat. Players can”bash, dismember and decapitate” their adversaries. Even though it isn’t a new concept, players can dual wield weapons and that includes shields.

While some people may debate the historical accuracy of this inclusion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will feature the return of the hidden blade too. Exciting right?
