Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gameplay Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)

After months of speculation, the next Assassin’s Creed title was finally recently revealed this week, with Ubisoft showing off an all-new Viking-era action game titled Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Plenty of lovely details were revealed as part of the initial showcase, including a bit of information regarding how combat, customization, and RPG mechanics will work this time around. The advent of the latest Inside Xbox event has now yielded the first bits of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay, with the footage all wrapped up in an epic new trailer.

As seen in the video below, we get a short peek at the in-game world that players will inhabit during their stay in the new AC title, showing off the player character Eivor as they trek the ocean with Viking longships, explores the lands of England (including Stonehenge), and throws down in the inevitable battles ahead.

While the above showcase isn’t exactly a lengthy representation of gameplay, Creative Director for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ashraf Ismail assured there will be much more shown off as the game gets closer to launch. As confirmed in a Twitter post released ahead of the footage, this piece of gameplay was only ever meant to act as a teaser for the game’s Viking-themed exploits to be shown at a future date.

As of now Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to release Holiday 2020 as launch titles for Xbox One X and PlayStation 5, with releases also set for Google Stadia, PC (via Epic Games Store and Uplay), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
