Assassin’s Creed: Origins to Receive Extensive Amount of Tie-In Media – Comics, Novels, and More

Assassin’s Creed: Origins will be taking fans to ancient Egypt, a place full of mysteries and adventure. For those who want to go deeper still, Ubisoft has announced the release of an extensive media presence featuring a young Bayek, the Last Magi, who will be the eyes of the past for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title.

Oliver Bowden, a returning Assassin’s Creed author, will be taking on a new work called Desert Oath. The novel will be set before the events of Assassin’s Creed: Origins featuring a young Bayek of Siwa as he follows the footsteps of his father on a dangerous hunt for answers. Titan Comics will also jump aboard the the media train with a four issue mini-series written by Anne Toole. These comics will feature the beginnings of the Assassin’s Brotherhood and follow their expansion into various other territories introducing new characters and historical figures. The publisher has an impressive resume of video game tie-in comics, including multiple Assassin’s Creed series.

Lastly, there will be an art book filled with concept sketches, character studies, and more as well as commentary from both artists and developers. PRIMA games will be releasing a official game strategy guide featuring detailed maps of the game, a complete walkthrough, and more.

The tie-in media will be arriving sometime this Fall and Assassin’s Creed: Origins will be arriving on October 27th. Are you excited for the future of the Creed?
