Apex Legends And Avengers Endgame Collide In New Fan Trailer (VIDEO)
Respawn Entertainment is currently kicking tail with Apex Legends. After only a month past release the battle royale title has amassed over 50 million players worldwide, all seeing regular updates as well as a planned Battle Pass expected to go live sometime this month. However, as the game rides its big wave of success, another recent surprise also arrived in the form of a new trailer for Marvel’s Avengers Endgame. While it would seem these two pieces of media aren’t very related, one fan has now connected the two in a pretty on-point fan trailer.
From YouTube editor “Simon Cez,” a new video has debuted piecing together audio from latest MCU’s latest movie trailer with characters and cutscenes featured from Apex Legends. While not a 100% copy of the Marvel showcase, the footage is nonetheless skillfully arranged, having much of its Avengers Endgame-style moments match up pretty well with the popular the Respawn shooter. Check it out in the video below.
Of course this video wouldn’t be Marvel’s first experience with battle royale, as last year saw a notable collaboration between Avengers Infinity War and Epic Games’ Fortnite. The event brought in the Infinity Gauntlet as well as Thanos for a short while in the game as a means of promotion for both popular franchises. While it might be unlikely for Apex Legends to replicate a similar deal, this video does at least make one seem like a worthwhile idea.
As evident from their recent player milestone, Apex Legends fans are aplenty these days, many of which having expressed appreciation for the multiplayer shooter through their own creative projects. In only a few week’s time, several incredible works such as a fan-made anime sequence, stunning character-based cosplay, and a web-slinging Spider-Man mod have emerged in the wake of the game’s arrival.
Apex Legends is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
What do you think? Are you a fan of this Apex Legends fan trailer or should Avengers Endgame just do an actual collaboration with the game?
