Anthem Will Not Feature Offline Play, Says BioWare’s Mark Darrah
EA Play featured plenty of games, but many are showing excitement and interest for BioWare’s latest action RPG Anthem. While the game offers a lot of interesting features, including cooperative play, there is one feature of Anthem that players may not be too excited about. The information came from Mark Darrah himself on Twitter in the afternoon.
Players with a poor internet connection will find this news disappointing. The single player features of Anthem will still require players to be connected to the net in order to enjoy them. While the turn to online play is unsurprising, it does alienate some fans of BioWare’s exceptional RPGs.

Anthem will feature opposing factions – the Freelancers, who defend the world against disasters, and the rival group Dominion. Piloting Javelin exosuits, players can join friends as they complete missions in this open-world RPG. While players aren’t required to play cooperatively, they are faced with the requirement of a solid internet connection in order to enjoy the title.
For those who may have missed the presentation, the cinematic trailer for Anthem was dropped yesterday, and gameplay can be seen here. The title is already available for pre-order and offers a considerable amount of features. At launch, Anthem will not feature competitive multiplayer, and there are no romance options in the game, something Bioware is typically known for. Anthem will be available February 22nd, 2019 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Keep up with Don’t Feed the Gamers as more information comes out of E3.
