Anthem Devs Say Story Length Is “A Really Hard Thing To Compare”
With BioWare’s upcoming RPG Anthem arriving in less than two months, fans have been scrambling for as much information as they can ahead of the title’s release date. One such nugget of information fans have been wondering about is the game’s official story length, which BioWare has been oddly quiet about until now. During the past few days, though, the devs have broken their silence, though this has for the most part only led to even more questions.
It’s a really hard thing to compare so we aren’t really commenting on the crit path length for Anthem. Depends how you play, etc https://t.co/Xit50f5thi

In some recent exchanges on Twitter, a few BioWare employees – including Mike Gamble himself – responded to fans asking about the story length of the campaign in Anthem. Instead of giving a straight answer, the employees revealed that it is actually rather difficult to rattle off an hour range for the campaign.
This is a good question, but tough to answer. Everyone is different. There’s a lot of side missions, but some folks will just want to rush the main story and then hit strongholds. It’s a lot, though. Personally, I’ve only played through everything a few times. https://t.co/uXe0cXVOrj

Also remember Anthem will continue to grow after release too!

Mike Gamble had a similar answer, though he elaborated on it a bit more than Ben Irving did, revealing that while everyone will play Anthem differently (which feels like a cop out of an answer), the game will also continue to change and grow after its release, which can only mean good things for those looking to enjoy the game for a long time. As far as the actual base story length goes, we’ll be able to find out for ourselves when Anthem releases for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 22, 2019.
