Skyrim Composer Wants to Score New Lord of the Rings Series

Ever since it was announced earlier this year, Amazon’s highly anticipated Lord of the Rings TV series has continued to turn heads, both because of its massive billion dollar budget and the simple fact that it’s the first time the Lord of the Rings has returned to the screen since The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies back in 2014. While not much is actually known about the show, Skyrim composer Jeremy Soule has already expressed interest in composing for the series.

According to the folks over at Geeks and Gamers, Jeremy Soule – known both for his work on Skyrim and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – recently posted a poll on Twitter asking his followers if he should offer his services to Amazon’s upcoming Middle Earth series. Check out the tweet below:

Due to the turnout for the poll, Soule revealed a day later that he has begun to do some “networking” to see if his involvement in the upcoming Amazon series is viable.

The Skyrim composer’s potential involvement in the series came about due to a tweet made by the rather aptly named Mouth of Sauron user on Twitter, who said “I know it’s early days, but if a composer hasn’t been lined up for Amazon’s Middle Earth series, how about @mistersoule?” This in turn is likely what prompted Soule to post the poll. As for whether or not we’ll actually be hearing his much when the Lord of the Rings series airs at some point in the future, well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
