Entire Assassin’s Creed Timeline Laid Out From Past To Present (VIDEO)
Assassin’s Creed prides itself in dropping players in the middle of settings throughout history, with Ubisoft often going to great lengths to ensure historical accuracy. Over nearly 10 years, the open-world murder-parkour simulator has accumulated quite a lofty timeline of its own, from sailing the seas as a pirate, to exploring the Italian Renaissance, and the Assassins’ origins in ancient Egypt.
To commemorate the release of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, YouTube channel “The Leaderboard” has assembled a thorough recap of the mainline series, covering pretty much all major events featured in the games. This notably includes insight into the mysterious First Civilization, the Pieces of Eden, and how the advanced race of beings reached their end.
Following that, we see a summary of each time period represented in the series, from the events of Odyssey, all the way up to modern-day fight between the Assassins and Templars. The over 21-minute video can be seen below. It should go without saying, but spoilers for the entire Assassin’s Creed series follow.
With the Assassin’s Creed series receiving its most ambitious iteration this past month, the above video truly puts into perspective how much the series has changed over the years. They’ve surely amped up the amount of easter eggs peppered in their games, as Marvel’s Black Panther and Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda have each been featured in the most recent entry. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
