New Assassin’s Creed Board Game Features Ezio In New Campaign (VIDEO)

Assassin's Creed Board Game Ezio

Assassin’s Creed hasn’t parkoured through the Italian Renaissance since ‘Brotherhood’ arrived in 2010, leaving it the last time players would experience the setting with popular protagonist Ezio Auditore da Firenze. It looks like fans can take back their “requiescat in pace,” as Ezio is now making his grand return in a new Assassin’s Creed board game.

Triton Noir has announced Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice, a tabletop experience utilizing the series’ signature stealth and assassination-based gameplay. Under advisement from ex-Ubisoft employees, the game will additionally serve as a story bridge between Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and its sequel ‘Revelations.’

Over a touted 20+ hour campaign, players will utilize the Venetian Brotherhood and its very particular set of skills to dole out infiltration and assassination on a series of AI-controlled enemies. The game’s stealth-based missions will accommodate being carried out by a lone player or cooperatively with up to three buddies.

Harkening back to the Assassin’s Creed II days, ‘Brotherhood of Venice’ will also allow players to operate from their own HQ and feature cameos from the era’s notable alumni such as Leonardo da Vinci and the previously-mentioned Ezio. All characters from members of the Brotherhood to game’s ill-fated enemies will also be represented by a myriad of detailed miniatures.

Having the similarly tactics-based V-Commandos under their belt, Triton Noir seems pretty ideal to tackle an Assassin’s Creed board game, especially as both titles distinctly utilize stealth. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice is currently scheduled to go live on Kickstarter this November, but will make an earlier appearance at Essen Spiel 2018 in late October.
