This Witcher And Superman Crossover Cosplay Perfectly Merges Both Worlds
It has been quite a roller coaster of a year for Henry Cavill fans. The actor celebrated many successes, including his introduction into the Mission Impossible film series with the sixth installment released this summer. He also delighted fans with the news of his casting as Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming Witcher series for Netflix. However, his position as the DC film version of Superman may be in jeopardy, according to recent news reports. Nonetheless, fans have found ways to celebrate the actor’s work, and now it seems that the pastime has reached a new level with a Witcher Superman cosplay crossover.

Maul Cosplay, a well known cosplayer who has become an official Witcher mascot appointed by CD Projekt Red, recently shared the Witcher Superman crossover on his official Instagram account. The mash-up is depicted in a fan art image, courtesy of artist @atlant.99 on Instagram. The art shows Geralt, as he appears in the latest video game in the series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, wearing the latest iteration of Superman’s signature outfit from the DCEU films.
Maul responded to this artwork by expressing interest in making the cosplay crossover a reality. Maul has even shared photos before of his Geralt cosplay, in which he is opening it up to reveal the Superman outfit-underneath, Clark Kent-style. However, seeing the full version of the crossover might just be what the internet has needed to reflect Henry Cavill’s real-life transition from a Superman-focused career, to a Geralt-focused one. Luckily, Cavill won’t need any facial hair digitally removed when playing Geralt.
