This is certainly not the first time the Pokemon Company has ventured outside of video games and into the real world. From various cosmetics, home goods and other clothing lines, they’ve pretty much done it all. Earlier this year, they collaborated with the famous lifestyle clothing brand Fila to bring pocket monster style to classic velcro kicks, and now they’ve announced an all-new fashion line.

In collaboration with designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, Fragment Design and Pokemon announced a streetwear line that emphasizes the hypebeast potential of the franchise. It’s been appropriately dubbed the Thunderbolt Project and will face its debut this October at the Hypfest event in New York. Despite what the name implies, there’s more to the aesthetics than Pikachu. In fact, there’s a hoodie that features the mischievous Mew. From coin cases, t-shirts, and hoodies with more on the way throughout 2019, there’s already quite a few items to offer. There are cross-promotional content as well. Pokemon Go trainers are eligible for a 2-way drawstring bag and a pack of stickers when visit their booth during the Hypefest event in New York. The festivities take place on October 6th and 7th in Brooklyn, New York.

In other related  news, Funko teased more Pop! figures for the respective franchise, a new mythical creature was introduced to in the mobile game Pokemon Go, and Pokemon Let’s Go arrives in November. With our own hands on experience with the latter, suffice to say that the Poke Ball controller is the best way to play the game.
