Sega Powers Up Spotify with Classic Game Soundtracks
If you are a nostalgic gamer or just fan of retro games specifically from Sega, we’ve got excellent news for you. Just recently, Sega uploaded a massive library packed full of classic Sega game soundtracks to Spotify and it is amazing.
Now when we say massive we don’t mean like a couple dozen hit tracks, we’re talking multiple albums worth of retro game musical content from multiple classic Sega IPs. Some of the albums uploaded include volumes from Sega classics such as Fantasy Zone, Nights, Out Run, Virtual Fighter, Skies of Arcadia, Kunoichi, Rhythm Thief & the Emperors Treasure, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Rush, and Galaxy Force II, just to name a few. Yeah, that’s just a few.
As for now, it looks like the Sonic Adventure 2 album is taking its place as the most popular of the collection so far holding 6/10 of the top 10 tracks. There is so much content that this library could keep you loaded with fresh retro tunes for months, if not years, depending on how much time you listen to music.
If you have a Spotify account, be sure to follow Sega if you’re all about that retro gaming life. If you don’t have an account, then good news – Spotify is free to use, so it’s not a whole lot of risk. With this new addition to the Spotify library, it is absolutely worth checking out.
Here’s the current installment of the top tracks for Sega’s listings, enjoy.
So what do you guys think of this awesome musical treasure trove of retro goodness? We’d love to hear what you think and we’d love to hear about your favorite classic Sega game, so sound off in the comments.
