Valve’s Gabe Newell Hints At More Games On Consoles (VIDEO)
Valve is primarily known for developing some of gaming’s greatest hits as well as being the entity behind Steam, PC’s popular digital retailer. For those who don’t know, there is also a little bundle known as The Orange Box, which brought a handful of Valve’s games to consoles. That said, it looks like we might be seeing more titles from them on consoles at some point, according to a recent tease.
In a short video that was recently uploaded to YouTube, we see Gabe Newell himself being asked if Steam will be bringing any games to consoles or if they will remain on PC. The head of Valve pondered on the query for just a moment before replying, “You will get a better idea of that by the end of this year.”
Of course, it is completely unknown what exactly this means for Valve possibly bringing more games to various consoles. Following the success of Half-Life: Alyx, the future of the company is potentially looking quite interesting. We might see more games come from Valve directly, or perhaps we could see some of their IPs go to other developers to continue the tales. Either way, we will at least know what their console plans are by the end of this year. Well, if Newell is actually being honest and not just playing with fans for a third or more time.
