Skyblivion Dev Diary Shows Off New Environments And Quests (VIDEO)

Skyblivion

Skyblivion is an incredibly ambitious modding project that aims to bring Oblivion into the modern era with the help of assets from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Over time the development team has grown to help tackle the massive world, sharing their progress as development continues. Now, a new Skyblivion Development Diary is here to give fans a good look at what progress the team has made specifically in terms of world environments and a working quest system.

The most recent Development Diary for Skyblivion starts off by showing fans some of the impressive work the team has done with the world itself, working on various areas across the massive 57 KM² map including designing various dungeons based on different text found on bodies in the world, the creatures that are supposed to live there, as well as quests that occur within each one. A snazzy new interface offers a nice clean look at the world around players while not being too intrusive on what’s happening on-screen at the time. Aside from all the technical aspects, the video also shows off a quest from the original game called Revenge Served Cold, introducing fans to the work the development team has put into bringing a working quest system into the mod.

Skyblivion has no official release date yet, but the project has come a long way over the years and the development team can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Development Diary also describes that what was once a “simple side project” has become the biggest modding project in history and that the team is always looking for help with various facets of development.

Should fans feel they meet the qualifications to help the Skyblivion project along, they can check out the team’s volunteer page to sign up.
