P.T. Will Not Be Available On PlayStation 5

P.T.

One of the biggest games to get cancelled in recent memory is none other than Silent Hills. Before the title was cancelled, and before the messy split between Konami and Hideo Kojima, P.T. was offered up to fans as a taste of what was to come. The playable teaser has since become scarce, and it doesn’t look to be getting any better as it will not be available on PlayStation 5.

Sony recently released a list of titles that would not be available on PS5 via backwards compatibility, and fans were quick to pick up on the fact that P.T. was not listed. This led many to think that they would be able to bring their game file over to the next-gen console, but Konami has since confirmed that will not be the case. In an email to GamesRadar, Konami confirmed that “the content will not be available on the PS Store, so users won’t be able to re-download the content through the backwards compatibility feature to the PS5.”

As many of you may already know, P.T. is also no longer available to download on the PlayStation 4. Those who still have the game installed on their PS4, of course, are able to keep playing the title so long as it remains where it is. It just won’t be able to be played on PlayStation 5. Not in any official capacity, at least. It’s safe to assume that there will be fans out there who find a way to continue enjoying what could have been, but on the next-gen system.

P.T. is currently available on any PlayStation 4 that it was downloaded on and not deleted from. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
