Black Panther’s Daniel Kaluuya Stars In Xbox Series X Commercial (VIDEO)
The Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 are already engaging in their competition by releasing reactionary new details about their devices, and even digs at each other’s pre-order debacles. Advertising is always a key aspect of a console’s launch, and both have used the medium of commercials to express the experiences that their machine will provide. Now, Microsoft has released a new Xbox Series X launch commercial starring Daniel Kaluuya of Black Panther and Get Out fame to do just that.
Recently, Microsoft released the new console’s launch commercial titled Us Dreamers on YouTube. The commercial stars Daniel Kaluuya, best known for his work in the films Get Out and Black Panther, coming home to play some Xbox on the Series X. However, when he turns on the console, he is instantly transported to the world of the game. We see him floating above a Viking sea battle in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Kaluuya then transitions into the world of Halo, which holds much of the focus of the commercial.

With Halo Infinite originally planned as an Xbox Series X launch title, it is obvious why so much of the ad is centered around Halo. Despite Infinite being delayed, Halo still holds a lot of value for gamers as a reason to invest in the new Xbox console. Daniel Kaluuya even sees himself in Master Chief’s armor at one point in the commercial. This commercial is set to make its television premiere on October 11th during the Vikings and Seahawks NFL game. Hopefully this ad convinces the undecided in the console wars where they should land in the battles to come, and wows them with graphics that make them say “Get Out!”
