Xbox One X Delivery To Veteran Completed By Skydiver For Charity (VIDEO)

Xbox One X Delivery

Given the younger demographics for active members of the armed forces, video games continue to be one of the more commonly beloved pastimes of veterans returning stateside. As such, the gaming industry has been quick to recognize veterans as a worthwhile charitable cause to support. We’ve seen the likes of Call of Duty establish programs meant to assist veterans adjusting to civilian life, and we’ve even seen Discord used to reach out to struggling veterans as well. Now, Microsoft has put into motion a new initiative to help veterans, and to promote it, sent a skydiver to complete an Xbox One X delivery for one lucky veteran.

Microsoft recently released a video showing the skydiving delivery on their official Xbox Twitter account. Microsoft partnered with Operation Supply Drop and X Games gold medalist Travis Pastrana to bring a shiny new Xbox One X and a copy of Battlefield V to Navy Corpsman Jeff Bartrom. Bartrom speaks briefly about how Xbox helped him adjust to civilian life and connect with other veterans going through similar struggles as him.

Xbox then sent Pastrana to deliver the new Xbox One X at speeds easily topping 120 mph via skydiving. Pastrana performs several flips in the air whilst tightly gripping the unboxed console and controller. Eventually, Pastrana lands near Bartrom’s house to deliver the device and thank him for his service. If you would like to help give back to causes like this, Xbox has you covered. For every picture shared on social media that uses the hashtag #GiveWithXbox, Microsoft has promised to donate $5 worth of Xbox gear (up to $1 million) to charities like Child’s Play and Operation Supply Drop. Not a bad way for the gaming community to show how much it can fly, or fall with style at least.
