Xbox Game Pass Adds Five New Games, Dropping Five Others

Despite the impending release of the next generation of consoles, business continues to operate ‘as usual’ in regards to Microsoft and Sony’s subscription-related monthly offerings. As such, Microsoft has recently announced that it will be adding five new titles to its Xbox Game Pass, after which it will be doing away with five different games.

As reported by Game Informer, Microsoft has announced that it will be adding five new Xbox Game Pass titles, two of which will be available later today. One such title is none other than Doom Eternal, while the other game arriving to Xbox Game Pass today is Drake Hollow. As for what’s leaving, the list of titles include Metro 2033 Redux and Saints Row IV Re-Elected, with those and three other games dropping from the Xbox game Pass on October 15th. Here’s the full list:

What’s being added:

  • Doom Eternal (Android and Console) – October 1
  • Drake Hollow (PC) ID@Xbox – October 1
  • Brütal Legend (Console) – October 8
  • Forza Motorsport 7 (Android, Console, and PC) – October 8
  • Ikenfell (Console and PC) ID@Xbox – October 8

What’s being removed (October 15):

  • Felix the Reaper (Console and PC)
  • Metro 2033 Redux (Console and PC)
  • Minit (Console and PC)
  • Saints Row IV Re-Elected (PC)
  • State of Mind (PC)

For those that have yet to take the plunge into Microsoft’s flagship subscription service, it should be noted that EA Play will be joining the Xbox Game Pass library starting on November 10, so now’s a pretty swell time to plunk some cash down to join in on the fun.
