New Xbox Avatar Editor Features Loads More Customization (VIDEO)

Xbox Avatar Editor

We’ve known about an impending update to Xbox One’s Avatar system for a few years now, with the latest official tease promising several interesting additions, including a gorgeous redesign resembling that of Pixar characters. Outside a few extra details, there hasn’t been much news about it, but according to a new leak, it seems the new Xbox Avatar editor will also feature a myriad of added customization.

A leaked video has surfaced online that showcases quite a few of the features we can expect in the upcoming Xbox Avatar update. More fluid movement, expressions, as well as an endless number of color and clothing options seem to be the most apparent, but we also see a revamped photo mode where users can choose from several sets of pose animations. Check it out below:

After the original date of Fall 2017 was delayed, Xbox One users were left wondering when they’d ever get to take these great new Avatars for a spin. The current-gen console still utilizes the system put in place by the Xbox 360 almost a decade ago, making this update long overdue. However, given the “beta” label in the lower corner of the leaked video, it wouldn’t be a stretch to expect the new Xbox Avatar editor finally rolled out sometime soon.

What do you think? Are you excited to check out these new Xbox One Avatars, or are you more in it for the games? Do you think Xbox 360 might get the update as well?
