Minecraft Nintendo Switch Achievements Discovered, Tied To Xbox Live

Minecraft Nintendo Switch Achievements

Nintendo’s hybrid console has been taking the gaming world by storm for over a year, and there is no denying the success it has achieved in such a short time. One thing that the Switch lacks, however, is the use of achievements. While Microsoft and Sony each have their respective accomplishment systems in place, Nintendo is without such a thing. Luckily, this doesn’t seem to be stopping Minecraft Nintendo Switch achievements from being introduced later this year.

The discovery appeared in a tweet from content creator Patrick Maka on Twitter. They found the list on True Achievements, an achievement tracking website. Furthermore, the Minecraft Nintendo Switch achievements look to be similar to that of the Xbox Live variety. Check them out for yourself below:

Alongside the Minecraft Nintendo Switch achievements, we see ones for iOS, Windows 10, and Android, implying that they will be the same as those platforms. Thankfully, a Minecraft rep confirmed the addition of achievements to the hybrid console version of the game. “We can confirm that Minecraft players on Nintendo Switch will soon be able to earn achievements tied to Xbox Live once the Bedrock update is released,” they stated.

Unfortunately, we don’t know when the Bedrock update is set to hit the Switch, but it is expected to arrive a little later this year. Now that we know Minecraft will be getting achievements on Nintendo’s portable console, we can only hope this means the system will receive an accomplishments system of its own.
