The Truth is Coming to Bookstores with X-Files Children’s Books
Parents looking to begin fandom obsession early may have reason to squee this August. Author Kim Smith has put together a pint-sized X-Files children’s book with a story sure to bring littles to the sci-fi side of life. The book features fan favorites Mulder and Scully, illustrated wonderfully for both children and adults to enjoy.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the X-Files children’s book, titled “Earth Children Are Weird”, puts these best buds in a backyard camping scene where Scully reads a tale of alien adventure. This, of course, spurs the imagination of Mulder who begins to see signs of aliens in everything, leaving it to Scully to offer an explanation for the weird occurrences. That is if one even exists. The Amazon synopsis puts it best:
One the most beloved TV shows of all time is now a sweet, silly, sci-fi bedtime story! In The X Files: Earth Children Are Weird, best pals Dana (Scully) and Fox (Mulder) have pitched a tent in the backyard for a sleepover. But the night is full of strange sounds, lights, and shadows. Surely there’s a rational, scientific explanation for everything . . . or is there? With beautiful illustrations of pint-sized Dana and Fox, this humorous and not-scary-at-all story will introduce the cult TV show to an entire new generation of fans.
Whether a parent looking to show their little ones that the truth is out there or a fan having grown up on the show looking to expand their collection of fandom merchandise, there is no reason not to pre-order this adorable addition to the franchise. The book is published by Quirk and marks Kim Smith’s second children’s book. X-Files: Earth Children Are Weird will be available August 29th in hardcover for 18.99 but is available at 35% off right now on Amazon Prime.
