“Wonder Woman 1984” was announced by DC films and Warner Bros as the sequel title to 2017’s eponymous release. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine will reprise in their roles as Diana Prince and Steve Trevor. The film is currently in production.

Patty Jenkins will be returning as director and has confirmed Wonder Woman 1984 will be a period piece set in, that’s right, the 80s. Jenkins suggest the new setting will provide new odds and temptations for Diana. Production for Wonder Woman 1984 began Wednesday and the first two colorful looks into the film were released on both Jenkins and Gadot’s Twitter. Check them out below:

Wonder Woman 1984 already has us asking some burning questions. Do my eyes deceive me or is that Steve Trevor?! Chris Pine, who plays heroic pilot, perishes during the events of the previous film. Steve Trevor is shown in the film sacrificing himself, helping Wonder Woman save the day. How will the sequel address his return? The sequel will also star Kristen Wiig, who will be playing the role of super villain “Cheetah”. The film will also feature Pedro Pascual in an unnamed role.

The film is slated for release November 1st, 2019. Are you as psyched as I am? What do you think about Steve Trevor return? Be sure to let us know in the comments! Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook so you don’t miss a single thing! Things such as:
