When Wonder Woman premiered in theaters around the world in 2017, it received rave reviews for its direction and performance of its star Gal Gadot. Since then, the team have been hard at work creating the titular sequel Wonder Woman 1984 to tie some loose ends from the aforementioned film and introduce some memorable new characters, including Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah.

Thanks to Twitter account The DC League (via IGN), one of the latest promotional images for Wonder Woman 1984 shows off Wiig’s role as Cheetah – a human-cheetah hybrid supervillain in the DC comics universe. In the image below, Wiig is seen with slicked back hair, body covered in spotted fur, and dramatic eye make-up. It certainly places Wiig in a different light compared to her roles in comedy films. Quite frankly, I think Wiig looks absolutely spot-on as Cheetah. Check it out below:

Unfortunately, the Twitter post has since been taken down. There are, however, other images revealed by Twitter account DC Films Updates that show a minor glimpse of Cheetah. See below:

Wonder Woman 1984 has already completed production and is still expected to premiere this year. It was initially slated for last month then delayed until August. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, the film will make its premiere on October 2nd instead. It’s a long time to wait, but we can’t wait to see Wonder Woman again!
