Warframe: Fortuna Update Adds Baruuk, A Giant Spider Boss, And More (VIDEO)

The folks over at Digital Extremes have released a brand new update for its free to play title Warframe. Available today, The Profit-Taker update adds new content chiefly for the game’s second open world area, Orb Vallis, which is located outside the Fortuna player hub. DE released a launch trailer for the new update, which can be seen below:

As seen in the trailer, The Profit-Taker update adds a ton of new content to Warframe. On the questing side of things, a new addition to the Fortuna quest line has been added that pits players against a massive mechanical spider, known as the Orb Mother. There are also a few new things to do out in Orb Vallis as well, as The Biz has new Echo-Lures available for players to test out to rescue three new creatures from the Corpus.

On the Tenno side of things, the latest update introduces the new Warframe Baruuk, titled The Reluctant Warrior. Referred to by DE as the pacifist Warframe, Baruuk’s abilities revolve around evading and disarming his enemies, though he isn’t against using his fists should his Restraint become eroded.

The Profit-Taker also brings with it several new weapons and cosmetics, as well as a few new sets of mods: two sets for the K-Drive, and one set that revolves around the Helminth Charger. There are also a few new character cosmetics that are now available, though we won’t talk about them here, because spoilers. Those looking to see the full list of goodies can do so right here.

Warframe is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
