Volition’s Agents of Mayhem Not in Development for Nintendo Switch

Volition's Agents of Mayhem bombshells

Volition, the same developer who made Saints Row, says that Agents of Mayhem is not being made for the Nintendo Switch. While the game was announced for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One August 15, the developers have no plans of porting it over to the new console out of Nintendo. This announcement came in a Twitter post on April 1. Unfortunately, as it turns out, it is not a joke… Volition’s Agents of Mayhem simply won’t be coming to the Switch.

Volition’s Agents of Mayhem puts players in a squad of three set on being the “Bad vs. Evil”. These super agents, funded by corporations, are set to do battle with the evil Legion! The characters have their own unique skills and humorous attitudes as well. An assortment of guns, tech, and abilities are also available to the characters in this single player title.

The trailer that was released today shows players seemingly “phasing” between these characters as they play. Volition’s Agents of Mayhem seems to be a fun time ahead as can be seen in the video below. Plenty of explosions and battles are to be had in this open-world shoot-em-up.

Fans of the Switch are finding more and more frustration with titles they would like to play passing on the bandwagon. This may be due in part to the difficulty some companies have in getting their engines to work with the console. Whatever the reason, disappointment may continue for those who picked up a Switch hoping for all of the titles they are interested in. Regardless, the hype is too real for Agents of Mayhem and those who have a receiving console can expect to have a blast with it this summer. Perhaps Volition’s Agents of Mayhem may find its way to the Switch in the future. For now, we’ll have to live with the disappointment of knowing this title has fallen through our grasp.
