Valkyria Chronicles 4 Screenshots, DLC Details, And Western Release Revealed (GALLERY)

Valkyria Chronicles 4

On the heels of the announcement for the next installment in the Valkyria Chronicles franchise, SEGA decided the trailer released simply wasn’t enough. To build upon the excitement that fans are feeling from the big reveal, new screenshots, DLC information, and a western release window have all been provided by the publisher. Valkyria Chronicles 4 looks like it will be returning to its tactical roots and contain that beautiful watercolor style it is best known for.

The Japanese PlayStation 4 release of the title will also offer a special edition called the “10th Anniversary Memorial Pack”. This will include the base game, a sweet book containing the art of the franchise, a CD with the series’ soundtrack on it, and most notably a DLC unlock code. This will provide players with the “additional story Joint Battlefront with Squad 7 – Clearing this story will unlock Gallia’s Squad 7 core members from the first Valkyria Chronicles – Welkin in his Edelweiss tank, Alicia, Largo, Rosie, and Isara – as playable characters in the main game.” Also provided were a few new high-resolution images, which can be seen below:

In addition to all of this, those who purchase the game early will receive a DLC unlock code. This will give players access to Early Special Operation, DLC starring Edy Nelson from the first Valkyria title. Completing the story will unlock the popular character in the base game.

March 21, 2018 has been picked as the day that Valkyria Chronicles 4 will arrive in Japan for the PS4. The Nintendo Switch release is expected to arrive a few months later. The western-exclusive Xbox One release as well as the other two platforms will find their way to Europe and North America at some point in 2018, so be sure to keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops.
