Toy Story 4 Will Be A Tear-Jerker According To Tim Allen (VIDEO)

Toy Story 4

The ending of Toy Story 3 was quite an emotional one in which Andy, the owner of the main protagonists, outgrows his beloved toys and gives them away to a little girl he saw as being able to take care of them like he once did. With a fourth installment in the series just over the horizon it’s hard not to wonder just where the franchise will go from here. According to actor Tim Allen who has voiced the character Buzz Lightyear since 1995, Toy Story 4 is going to be even more of a tear-jerker.

While on a panel during an episode of the popular talk show “The Talk”, Allen talked a little about the upcoming movie. While he managed not to bring up any spoilers, the 65 year-old actor did express that being back in the studio was an emotional experience. He explained that he thinks quite highly of the third film in the franchise, but Toy Story 4 goes to infinity and beyond with the emotionally charged scenes. Even some of the scenes were hard for him to think about without tears welling up.

Toy Story 3 I thought was amazing. This one, I couldn’t even get through the last scene, OK?

I just can’t do it. I can’t give any more away. They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.

All in all Allen believes that the film is quite impressive, even comparing it to the likes of Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Toy Story 4 is set to enter theaters on June 21st of next year with Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, and Laurie Metcalf returning to reprise their roles as Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep, and Andy’s mom. It will be interesting to see just how the story comes together, and just how it’ll drive fans to tears next.
