This FF7 Yuffie Cosplay Is Here To Steal Your Heart, Not Your Materia
Square Enix has many beloved franchises, but none are as ubiquitous with the publisher as their flagship Final Fantasy series. The perennial franchise most recently celebrated the long-hyped Final Fantasy VII Remake, which was met with much critical and financial success. With the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade coming soon to PlayStation 5, fans are especially hyped for the upcoming content focused on Yuffie in the upgraded version of the game. The Final Fantasy VII Remake has already attracted the attention of talented cosplayers, with one fan’s new Yuffie cosplay now generating hype for the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

As covered by Game Informer, cosplayer Kainosaurus recently shared their Yuffie cosplay on their official Twitter and Instagram accounts. Kainosaurus (also known as Kairannosaurus Rekt) based the cosplay of Yuffie based on Yuffie’s appearance in the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children animated film, before also making a cosplay that reflects the character’s look in the FFVII Remake. The results are quite stunning, and Kainosaurus has not only been able to accurately recreate Yuffie’s wardrobe and armor, as well as her hair and makeup. Some of the shots look like they were pulled right out of the video game.

Kainosaurus’s Yuffie cosplay really sells its accuracy with the cosplayer’s physical performance. Their facial expressions and body language perfectly encapsulate Yuffie’s confident, yet playful demeanor. Combine that with shots of the character’s signature Shuriken weapons in battle poses, and the full Yuffie experience, as of now, is completed. Hopefully, Kainosaurus will be inspired by the release of Intergrade to bring her updated looks in that game to life. You bet we’d love to see a cosplay of Yuffie in that new Moogle outfit.
