The Witcher Netflix Series Teasing Some “Interesting Surprises” Between Seasons
With the first season of Netflix’s The Witcher series having been considered a massive success, fans from both the CD Projekt RED video game series player base and those that loved the original books by Andrzej Sapkowski are already waiting in anticipation for the second season. Unfortunately, despite the showrunner’s assurances that things will be easier going for season two, it is still quite a ways off. Thankfully, it appears that we may not have to wait too long to see our favorite characters on the small screen, as the show’s executive producer has begun to tease that there are some “interesting surprises” planned.
In a recent interview with Telewizja wPolsce, The Witcher executive producer Tomek Baginski revealed that the crew is “planning a few more interesting surprises between seasons,” though he “will not say exactly what will happen.” This could of course mean anything, though it’s important to remember that a report that surfaced last year suggested that a tie-in animated series for The Witcher was in development that would heavily feature more of the minor characters from the show and serve as a bridge between seasons. “I don’t want to give away too much here, but who knows if we won’t see The Witcher in this style,” Baginski said regarding the report in an interview with IGN Poland.
However these are things I would rather not talk about too much for now.”
Season one of Netflix’s The Witcher series is now available on the streaming platform.
