The Witcher Netflix Series Season 3 Seemingly Confirmed

The Witcher Season 3 Has Seemingly Been Confirmed

With Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher series back in production, fans are more excited than ever to see Geralt of Rivia, Ciri, and Yennefer reunite on the small screen alongside a slew of new cast members. Now, despite it still likely being another year or so until the debut of Season 2, a third season of The Witcher series has seemingly been confirmed.

The news comes to us by way of the folks over at Witcher site Redanian Intelligence, which reported that Season 3 of Netflx’s The Witcher series has been added to the database of the Writers Guild of America. A simple listing on most sites wouldn’t be enough to warrant such an article, though one from the Writers Guild certainly has enough merit for us to take it more or less as fact.

The Witcher Netflix Series Season 3 Seemingly Confirmed

This of course hasn’t been the only time a third season has been mentioned. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has previously claimed that she has at least 6-7 seasons mapped out in her head. Additionally, Redanian Intelligence also mentioned that insider KC Walsh claimed that The Witcher received the “Sabrina treatment” from Netflix, meaning that the show was effectively greenlit for an initial lump of three seasons instead of just the one. Either way, it looks like fans of Henry Cavill will be plenty pleased to see his take on Geralt of Rivia for at least a few years to come.

Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher series is now in production.
