The Outer Worlds Speedrunner Beat The Game In Less Than Half An Hour (VIDEO)
Speedrunning is an intense show of memory and skill with players using any and all means to shave off even seconds of time when completing games. While titles like The Outer Worlds have tons of content to explore from the main story to side quests and even characters to interact with its hard to imagine why anybody would want to get through the game as fast as they could. Still, the draw of speedrunning is strong with some fans and one, in particular, has used his set of skills to beat the game in less than half an hour.
Jabo is one of these speed junkies, with an impressive amount of runs to his name including Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Outlast 2, and multiple Fallout titles. The speedrunner was able to complete The Outer Worlds in a total of 24 minutes and 21 seconds, an impressive time to be sure. The only way this was possible, however, was for Jabo to do the bare minimum of the game’s content in order to complete the game itself. This means he didn’t pick up any side quests, used previous playthroughs to find even faster ways to complete the game, and more.
The Outer Worlds is currently available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Speedrunners are a strange breed of player, especially those who take on RPG’s like Obsidian Entertainments latest release but still it’s hard to deny they have some incredible talents nonetheless.
