Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Leak Suggests Terry Bogard DLC Coming Soon

Terry Bogard

It has been nearly a year since the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and the game’s passionate fanbase continues to be enthralled by the game. One way that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has managed to keep players coming back by releasing highly demanded playable DLC fighters like Banjo Kazooie and Joker from Persona 5. Back in September, many retro gaming fans were excited to learn that Terry Bogard from the Fatal Fury will be made a playable fighter in Ultimate, however a specific date was not given. Well, a new patent may indicate when this specific release date is.

Twitter user NintenZ recently shared a screenshot of some credits that have been updated for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo updated these credits in tandem with the new Tetris Spirit crossover event that begins on Friday, November 1st. NintenZ points out that SNK has interestingly been added to the list of non-Nintendo companies that are credited with allowing their characters to be used in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate SNK Fatal Fury

With Bogard as an SNK property, this has caused many to theorize that his release very well may coincide with the event beginning on November 1st. This would allow players to fight as Terry against these special new spirits. Those more cautious have conversely considered the possibility that Nintendo may have just added to the credits in preparation for Terry Bogard’s full release. The inferred release date should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism, but, if it is indeed true, fans won’t have to wait for long to see Terry in his full fast and furious form.
