The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Overview Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
2019 has continued the success of the Nintendo Switch, and the remainder of the year seems to promise many quality titles for the hybrid console. November will see the launch of Pokemon Sword and Shield, but this month will provide the remake of the beloved The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. The new version of the game has intrigued many with its quirky new art style, but familiar setting and gameplay. However, there are many newcomers that did not experience the classic game on its original platform, so Nintendo has released a new The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening overview trailer.
Nintendo U.K. released the new The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening overview trailer on their official YouTube channel. The video sets up the game’s story, which sees Link being stranded at sea after the events of Link to the Past and crashing onto the mysterious Koholint Island. The game will certainly feel familiar to anyone who has played a top down Zelda title. The usual swordplay, variety of helpful accessories and dungeons filled with tricky puzzles are to be found, as well as characters, animals and enemies unique to the island.
This remake also includes features not present in the original verison, including customizable dungeons that can be saved to or enhanced by Legend of Zelda Amiibo figures. Combined with some quality of life improvements, this remake is surely one that Zelda fans will want to pick up and hold high over their heads as the “Item Get” music plays. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening comes to Nintendo Switch on September 20th.
