Tesla Introducing Atari Games In Next Software Update, Looking For Developers

No, it’s not a belated April Fool’s prank or anything of that sort. At least, we’re pretty sure. According to Tesla’s CEO, the next software update for their vehicles will include the addition of “classic Atari games.” As a matter of fact, they’re looking for video game developers to join the team.

Elon Musk isn’t especially shy on social media, considering his regular posts on Twitter to keep enthusiasts up to date on the going-ons of the company. The CEO announced their plans to bring Atari games to Tesla vehicles in V9.0 as “Easter eggs.” That’s just 4 weeks away from a dawning of a new age. Well, for gamers anyway. They may include classics such as Pole Position, Tempest, Missile Command, and possibly others.

As a matter of fact, Musk revealed that the company is interested in adding video game developers to their team and asks folks to consider a position at Tesla. Of course, it’s not just whimsical idea. The CEO expects “examples of prior work” so they can provide “max playability and creativity.” For the gamers out there with a Tesla vehicle in their garage, get ready to enjoy some Atari games while stuck in traffic or whenever you’re bored. The V9.0 update rolls out at the end of August.
