As the actual trailer puts it, “It’s a f*cking sandbox!” Seen below, Activision and developers released an all too appropriate trailer for the seasonal event as it makes its reprisal in Call of Duty WWII. This year, Days of Summer brings a free sandbox map complete with castles, tools, and even toy soldiers. Of course, a celebration is no celebration without new weapons, gear, game modes and much more. Check out the introductory video below to get on that hype train. In addition to the literal sandbox of a map, the Days of Summer event features a game mode called Dogfighting. Assume the role in a WWII fighter plane, where two teams go head-to-head in team deathmatch style gameplay above the pyramids of Egypt or the “frigid air above snowy mountains.” Players can unlock Flak Gun Scorestreaks during the match to take down enemy planes as well.

Leprechaun Hunt returns this Summer, but instead of donning the stereotypical robes of green, he’s fitted with weather appropriate attire – sunglasses, khaki shorts, a “Shamrock’d Hawaiitan shirt,” and a Candy Cane for whatever strange reason. Regardless of what he’s wearing, that little man will be no easy task to rid of, but success results in full score-streaks all around. That means the match will rain chaos with the likes of paratroopers, fire bombing runs, and ball turret gunners appearing throughout the match numerous times. Get ready for a blast or some annoying times ahead.
