It was a number of months ago when Tekken 7 surprised everyone with the reveal of the game’s exciting next fighter: Negan, the dastardly bat-wielding villain from The Walking Dead. Inclusion of such a third-party character seemed like a decision made entirely out of left field, but initial gameplay suggested nothing less than fun time when the DLC eventually saw release.

Those waiting for their time at bat with the gloriously sinister zombie-smasher won’t have much longer to wait, as Bandai Namco have revealed he’s set to make his entrance on February 28th. The announcement trailer, seen below, shows everything from Negan’s leather-clad look to the voice of Jeffrey Dean Morgan have been utilized to capture his darkly charismatic portrayal in the AMC series. From the looks of it, fans will also get to duke it out alongside Negan’s gang in a stage reminiscent of that infamous Season 7 opener.

Negan sees himself debut alongside a decidedly more light-hearted character in Julia Chang, a fighter making her return from the series’ previous entry Tekken 6. When next Thursday rolls around, Bandai Namco (via Gematsu) confirms that Julia will fetch for the price of $4.99 USD while Negan will go for the slightly pricier sum of $7.99 USD. Tekken 7 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
