Earlier this year, a leak from the Korean Ratings Board indicated that fans may soon be seeing the return of Sunset Overdrive with a port potentially arriving on PC. Of course with E3 just around the corner, rumors of a sequel to the franchise began to make the rounds and soon after an “Insider” claimed that Sunset Overdrive 2 would be making an appearance at the event. Unfortunately, as much as fans might like to believe it to be true, new information indicates that the title won’t be making an appearance after all.

The leak that indicated the arrival of Sunset Overdrive 2 originally stated that the title would be arriving alongside another title in the Gears of War franchise, a new Halo game, and Forza Horizon 4. While it’s easy to imagine the latter three being revealed, a Sunset Overdrive sequel comes as somewhat of a surprise. According to Waypoint Senior Editor Patrick Klepek, while some of these may actually make an appearance – Sunset Overdrive is one that will not be coming to E3.

Insomniac Games is currently hard at work crafting the beautiful PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man. While it isn’t unheard of for a company to create multiple titles at once, Insomniac is more known for crafting one masterpiece at a time, so it would be unlikely that they would have two AAA titles in the works. For now it seems that fans will need to need to wait until E3 finally rolls around to have all of these burning questions answered.
