Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Miles Morales Coming To PC (VIDEO)

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

In recent years, PlayStation has continued to branch out beyond its traditional console ventures with projects in film and TV, as well as new platforms such as mobile, PC, and even an Xbox game or two. PC has been an especially exciting avenue as it sees some of Sony’s most beloved properties find new life with upgraded visuals, performance enhancements, as well as the joy of mod support. Now, fans have one more modern classic to add to that collection, the Insomniac-developed Marvel’s Spider-Man games.

As revealed during Sony’s blockbuster State of Play presentation, the PS5-enhanced Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is officially coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 12th, boasting fully-optimized features such as crisp 4K resolution, as well as adjustable render settings and ray-traced reflections (shiny puddles!). The package is all set to include The City That Never Sleeps DLC, which adds 3 story chapters, new missions, and additional challenges to the original base game.

Right now, not much else is known about Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC, but more technical details are set to be revealed in due time. However, Insomniac also took the time to confirm its newest web-head adventure Spider-Man: Miles Morales will also be coming to PC sometime in Fall 2022. This revelation is especially amazing as it marks the quickest turnaround for a PS4/PS5 exclusive to come to PC, having originally released in late 2020.

As yet another first for Sony, this project also marks the debut project from Nixxes Software following the studio’s acquisition by Sony last July. Known for PC ports like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the developer has been expected to fit nicely into PlayStation’s recently registered PC division, which has already produced ports for such games as Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, God of War, and soon, the Uncharted series.
