Cancel Your Summer Vacation Plans, Steam Summer Sale Confirmed by PayPal

Steam Summer Sale

Summer time is the perfect time for going on vacations such as theme parks, beaches, road trips, and many other activities that cost a fair bit of money. If you haven’t made up your mind as to which summer activity to spend that hard earned cash on, don’t worry, the annual Steam Summer Sale dates have seemingly been revealed by a recent post by PayPal, so the only decision you have left is which family pictures and videos to delete to make room for all of the games you’re about to buy.

Valve has not yet made an official announcement for the dates for this year’s Steam Summer Sale, but online payment system PayPal has gone ahead and blown the lid off the secret. According to PayPal UK (via Twitter), Steam’s big summer event will kick off on June 22nd at 6pm BST (1pm EST in the US) and presumably end on July 5th. To sweeten the deal, PayPal added that UK users can save £5 with a purchase of £20 or more during the sale.

As mentioned above, Valve has yet to deliver the dates for the sale, but PayPal claims that the dates are indeed “official”. The Steam Summer Sale is one of the PC gaming community’s monumental annual events. The discounts for a large portion of the Steam library are given hefty discounts, giving gamers an opportunity to stock up on a plethora of titles for insanely inexpensive prices. The games vary from indie games, to AAA titles from some of the biggest studios in the world of gaming.

According to PayPal UK’s post, the sale will last for the usual two weeks like in past seasonal Steam sales. This gives players plenty of time to browse through the hundreds of discounted titles. This also allows for plenty of time to miss some utility, car, or rent payments. Just kidding, don’t do that. Steam Sale wisely.
