Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Will Include Characters From Rogue One

Electronic Arts kicked E3 2019 off in a big way, with the company’s yearly EA Play pre-show dishing out details on Battlefield V, Season 2 of Apex Legends, and plenty more. One of the more heavily anticipated titles slated to be released was that of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, which had an official gameplay trailer release today during the presentation. Shown below, the new footage from Titanfall and Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment is absolutely epic, showing off protagonist Cal Kestis’ moves as he chops his way through the Empire’s forces. Check it out below:

While the trailer showed off some epic gameplay (including some Force Unleashed vibes), it also revealed that characters from Rogue One will also be present during the game’s campaign. The gameplay begins with players receiving instructions from Saw Gerrera, who has had quite an impressive run through multiple Star Wars mediums before his untimely fate in Rogue One. Played by Forest Whitaker in the film, the actor reprises his role for Jedi Fallen Order, with the game’s timeline seemingly closer to the events of Rogue One than his tumultuous youth as revealed in Star Wars Clone Wars.

At the end of the gameplay trailer players are shown another familiar face, this time in the form of a KX enforcer droid. While the droid is the same model as the one played by Alan Tudyk in Rogue One, they are definitely not the same exact droid, unfortunately for Cal. Still, it is interesting to see two familiar characters from Rogue One appearing in Jedi Fallen Order, and it makes us wonder if we’ll be seeing any more familiar faces throughout the events of the story.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order will release on November 15, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
