EA Exec Drops More Teasers: Star Wars Battlefront 2 and More on the Brand New BioWare IP
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen took to the stage at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference to talk to fans about a few projects the team has up their sleeve for the coming future. Among the teased titles is a brand new BioWare game and more info on the imminent Star Wars Battlefront 2. Here’s the breakdown of his keynotes:
-
Star Wars Battlefront 2
This title has been confirmed numerous times but we have no window on release, nor an official unveiling, but the CFO did mention that the sequel will be “dramatically large” than its predecessor. Fans of the newer films will also be excited to know that the characters from recent movies will also play a part in the game, as will a single player campaign. The implementation of the story mode is huge, that was one of the biggest gripes players had with the 2015 game – the lack diversifying gameplay left a lot of gamers wanting. Looks like EA listened, and a campaign will be in the sequel led by Motive Studios.

The Mysterious brand new BioWare IP
We reported last year that a new game was in the works by BioWare, and now it seems little by little the team is willing to share information – no matter how small. Jorgensen did gives fans some insight about the mystery game and we now know it will be a part of the sci-fi genre and it’s release is estimated to hit March 2018.
When you think about this game, you should be thinking about the great RPG character development and storyline progression that BioWare is known for, but in a world of greater action and greater adventure, which is growing to be one of the larger categories in games.”
Briefly during the conference, EA did release a statement about the recent loss of Peter Moore – EA veteran left his postiion as EA Exec to become the CEO of Liverpool FC, a professional football club (American soccer). They mentioned that it was a a huge shift for the company, but it was a great experience for Moore to pursue his passion and dream at heading the soccer world.
