Scarlet Nexus Will Feature Two Playable Characters With Their Own Campaigns (VIDEO)
Considered to be the spiritual successor of Code Vein, Bandai Namco’s Scarlet Nexus had us common-folk operating under the assumption that the game only featured a single protagonist, Yuito Sumeragi. We were deceived! It’s been revealed that Scarlet Nexus will actually feature two playable protagonists, each with their own story campaigns.
The news comes by way of TGS 2020, wherein Bandai Namco released a new story trailer for Scarlet Nexus featuring a more in-depth look at previously revealed protagonist Yuito Sumeragi. The trailer takes a deeper dive into Sumeragi’s back story, revealing flashbacks when he was rescued by the OSF and then snapping back to the present, showing some of the character’s interactions with his teammates.
As shown in the trailer, the previously named character Kasane Randall is actually the second playable protagonist of Scarlet Nexus. According to Bandai Namco, both characters are playable through the story, though they’ll each have different opinions and viewpoints from the other that makes their playthroughs different. Unfamiliar with Scarlet Nexus? Here’s the breakdown from Bandai Namco:
“In a far distant future, humanity’s last hope falls into the hands of an elite group of psionic soldiers, who battle an invincible threat known as Others. Unravel the mysteries of a Brain Punk future caught between technology and psychic abilities in SCARLET NEXUS.”
Scarlet Nexus is currently in development for Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
