‘Rocket League’ Developer Teases New Battle-Car Coming Soon
‘Rocket League’ developer Psyonix is at it again, teasing a brand new battle-car to add to its ever growing lineup. Announced in celebration of #NameYourCarDay, the developer released a silhouette of the new car, which looks…well, it honestly looks pretty strange. Check it out below:
Speaking of #NameYourCarDay, we’ll have new name to reveal very soon… ⚽️?️?? pic.twitter.com/98RC4KuVev

Recently revealed through Twitter, the latest Rocket League battle-car comes sporting a spoiler on the back, as well as a large object on the car’s hood. While many have already begun speculating as to what exactly the car will be, one fan has already made the decision that it is, in fact, a duck car with a spoiler.
oh my god guys they’ve made a duck car! pic.twitter.com/lnPKdtVh6Y

For my part, my guess is that it’s either some sort of elongated blower or some sort of hair dryer, though the former certainly makes more sense. Either way, Psyonix stated in its original Tweet that the vehicle’s name will be revealed “very soon,” so we shouldn’t have much longer to wait.
In related news, Psyonix recently released a new DLC pack featuring three Hot Wheels cars in celebration of the brand’s 50th anniversary. The DLC – which runs for $5.99 – includes teh Gazella GT, the MR11, and the FAST 4WD, each of which include themed Decals, Wheels for each vehicle, and fierce Hot Wheels creature Toppers.
Rocket League is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The long-anticipated Cross-Platform Parties feature is expected to go live next month.
