Red Dead Redemption 2 Steam Release Date Revealed

Red Dead Redemption 2 Steam

Long before Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, many fans speculated over whether or not a PC version would eventually happen. Well, it did, but it didn’t go exactly as planned as there were many issues with the port. However, that hasn’t stopped Rockstar Games from chugging along with the title on PC, and it looks like it will finally be arriving on Steam very soon.

In a recent tweet from Rockstar Games, it was revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming to Steam next week. In fact, it will be arriving on Valve’s digital platform exactly one week from today on December 5th. This comes one month after spending some time on the Epic Games Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Humble Store, and more.

For those who don’t know what to expect from the PC version of the popular sequel, here’s more:

“Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC takes full advantage of the power of the PC to bring every corner of this massive, rich and detailed world to life from the windswept snowy peaks of the Grizzly Mountains to the dusty roads of Lemoyne; from the mud-spattered storefronts of Valentine to the cobbled streets of St Denis. New graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion include increased draw distances for better navigation; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.”

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
