Red Dead Redemption 2 Clip Shows Animation Gone Hilariously Wrong

Players have only been experiencing the fullness of Red Dead Redemption 2 for a few days now, but the game has exposed fans to a wide variety of experiences. Many have been engrossed in the vast old west map found in the game, and its stunning visuals.

These visuals have been enhanced by a cinematic mode that helps the sweeping rides through the game’s open areas more akin to the classic western films of yesteryear. However, it seems that the Red Dead Redemption 2 cinematic mode has led to some unfortunate, albeit hilarious accidents for players in the game.

A collection of gameplay showing these Red Dead Redemption 2 cinematic mode accidents has been highlighted on a new Moments post on Twitter. These incidents all show players crashing while on horseback when switching on the cinematic mode. The feature narrows the field of view to a widescreen format, and changes the camera angle as well. However, this shift has a slight delay to it, which causes the player to be caught off guard. This is seen in the first video where the player crashes his horse into another mounted NPC as the view changed.

Another video showed a similar scenario, with this one having the player crash into a large outcropping in a canyon. While these tumbles may be an annoyance to their respective players, they do seem to be a hit on Twitter with their displays of classic Rockstar-style deaths and rag doll physics.

There’s no word yet from Rockstar if they plan to tighten up the timing of the cinematic mode, but hopefully a better balance between the transitions and player control can be found. For now, fans will have to take the Good, The Bad and The Ugly in the game as it is. What do you guys think about these Red Dead Redemption 2 cinematic mode accidents?
