Rainbow Six Siege Reveals Operation Ember Rise, Adds Two New Operators (VIDEO)
Ubisoft introduced the latest update to their highly popular shooter, Rainbow Six Siege. Titled Operation Ember Rise, the studio reveals two new operators, tons of new content, and a map rework for Kanal. With the imminent deployment of Ember Rise, players will become acquainted with the Garra Hook and Volcan Shield – two gadgets specialist Elena “Mira” Maria Alvarez reported on earlier this month. Check out a sneak peek at all the action and the new features coming soon:
Amaru is a Peruvian attacker heading to Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Ember Rise. She’s a highly mobile character thanks to the Garra Hook, allowing her to “zip to any rappellable ledge or window to quickly position herself where defenders aren’t expecting her to be.” Amaru can dive through skylights, hatches, and rooftops as well. Meanwhile, Goyo can create “strategic cover points” with his Volcan shields that can explode and set aflame a wide area when triggered or destroyed.
The gameplay reveal above explores both Amaru and Goyo’s weak points and strengths. For more on the re-worked Kanal map, check out the video. Once Operation Ember Rise goes live, the reworked arena is free for all and the new operators will be immediately available for Year 4 pass holders. All other players can unlock them with Renown or R6 Credits after 7 days.
